- What is my group responsible for providing for our stay? You are responsible to provide your own food, toiletries (including toilet paper, soap, etc.), for more information, refer to our Camp Hints section.
- Do you take credit cards? No, we do not accept credit cards. Please be prepared to pay with check or cash before you check out.
- Do you sell ice? Yes! The Sea Shack sells ice by the bag or the scoop.
- Do you have any sports equipment for rent? We have some frisbees, basketball, volleyball and some other miscellaneous equipment that you can check out for free at the Sea Shack. We would reccomend you bring your own sports equipment if possible.
- Can we get additional meeting space? Every group on campus will have adequate meeting space based on the size of your group. If additional meeting space is available and requested, there is an additional charge for this space. These requests are received on a first come, first serve basis and may not always result in a group receiving additional space.
- What is Early Registration? Early registration is an opportunity for groups who are using our facilities this summer to make their reservation for next summer before reservations are open to others.
- What time can I check in to my dorm? Check in starts at 4:00PM. There are no exceptions to this rule. You will have no access to any part of your building until 4:00PM.
- Does our group have to come to Sunday Services? Yes, we require all weekend groups to attend both Sunday School (9:45am) and Worship (11:00am). NOTE, Sunday Services only take place during season, May - Labor Day.
- What if some of my people dropped out at the last minute? How does that affect my bill? You are responsible to pay for the "minimum" for the building you reserved. If you have more than the minimum, then you are billed for that number of people. [ more info ]
- Can we have fires on the beach? Garden City Chapel and Retreat is not responsible for any activities that take place on the beach. For more information visit the Horry County website. Also, pay attention to the signs posted at the beach access.
- Do you have lifegaurds on the beach? No. Local Police and lifegaurds typically patrol the beach.
- Does you're campus have wi-fi access? Yes! Group leaders may visit the Sea Shack to obtain a password.
- Do you have any grills on campus? Yes, we have four charcoal grills in different locations on our campus.
- Where do I go to check in? During the summer months, you can visit the Sea Shack to check in. During the off-season, our staff will be looking for you when you arrive. You can also call the staff member on duty (843-651-2223, option 6).
