God set the example for giving so when we give generously, we follow the Biblical example set before us...God gave first then commanded us to give likewise.
Giving is a way to worship God by showing Him that we trust His Word. Everything ultimately comes from God. We are just returning a portion to further His ministries and missions on earth.
